Tahmeir Wilson, 24, of Upper Pottsgrove, is facing charges after police found two fully completed ghost guns and multiple gun parts in his home, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said in a Wednesday, Nov. 20 news release.

Investigators also found three drum magazines, multiple other magazines, numerous personally manufactured firearm lower pieces, and tools needed to privately manufacture firearms, the news release states.

Wilson had established "a highly sophisticated, clandestine firearms laboratory within his own residence, where he meticulously engineered and assembled an array of personally manufactured firearms," the affidavit of probable cause states.

Authorities found that Wilson had 14 different firearm models offered for sale, according to the affidavit. He would order certain firearms and parts and then add specialized modifications. He even had specialized machine gun conversion devices he could install.

Multiple photos of completed firearms being offered for resale were also found, according to the news release. Investigators also found numerous unnamed customers on his cell phone who were looking into the availability and sales of the weapons Wilson made.

Wilson's customer network was extensive, the affidavit states.

The investigation began in December 2023, when Montgomery County Adult Probation and Parole conducted a home visit at his residence and found numerous items used to manufacture ghost guns, the news release states.

That information was passed on to the county Detective Bureau resulting in a search warrant for Wilson's residence, according to the news release.

The results of the search warrant led to his arrest on Thursday, Nov. 14, the news release states.

Wilson was charged with:

  • Corrupt Organization.
  • Conspiracy.
  • Illegal Firearms Sales (14 counts).
  • Dealing in the Proceeds of Unlawful Activities (six counts).
  • Criminal Use of a Communications Facility (six counts).

He's also facing numerous other firearm-related charges, according to court documents.

Wilson is being held in Montgomery County Prison on $99,077 bail, court documents state. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 26.

He pleaded guilty to carrying a firearm without a license in December 2022 and was sentenced to three years on parole, according to court records.
